Paul

Hey again and welcome back to My Wellness Wishlist, this is Pauly.  Today’s Wellness titbit is surrounding medicinal herbs. The first medicinal schools is actually based on the use of plants and herbs but after the black death the use of plants as a medicine were replaced with more toxic chemicals like heavy metals, mercury, led, arsenic that became even more prominent after the science of chemistry evolved.  The use of plants as medicine were replaced with this allopathic systems that we predominantly seen in the treatment of illness today.  In saying that there are some incredibly progressive countries that are starting to recognize the power of plant based medicine for example Germany, one out of every three medicines prescribed in germany is a herb, which is pretty profound given there are still so many other countries out there with such an emphasis on chemical based medicine, which well I don’t even need to get started about all the side effects that are associated with those.  The reason I’m drawing attention towards plant based medicine is because my next guest is a gentleman by the name of Ian White and he is a natural path by trade but he also has a very long family lineage towards Australian foreigner and the medicinal qualities surrounding what my countries bush land has to offer us on a therapeutic level.  Now, Ian has developed this incredible system called Australian Bush Flower Essence. He’s able to deliver a system that people can treat themselves or others with now the cool thing about this interview is that he has coupled this therapeutic qualities of these plants with his knowledge of numerology and with his system he’s able to actually accommodate and use both skill sets as a complimentary prescription so to speak.  Now, I had Ian’s interview jumped to cue from all my other interviews that are kind of backlogged up because he is coming to Melbourne to do the most incredible workshop and I wanted to get in early so I can draw you guys to listen as attention to this so you can experience all of his knowledge in person.  I’m going to post some links about what it is that Ian is going to be teaching in person it’s pretty special stuff rather than me trying to tumble my way through the particulars and the details of what it is he’s going to be speaking about.  I’m just going to leave it to him and the interview because he goes in depth.  We actually go through my own numerology and and he explains how that can reflect to my personality, what to look out for, what potential traps that I may be falling into and what my natural attributes might be as well.  It’s a really, really practical cool hands on interview and I highly, highly recommend you sticking with this because it is bloody awesome.  His workshop is in Melbourne on the 5th and 6th of November so it is coming up very soon I highly recommend you get involved, hope you enjoy the interview guys.  Ian I would like to thank you for coming on the show it really is an honour thank you so much.

Ian

It’s a great pleasure, Thank You Pauly!

Paul

Now, Ian I have heard so many fascinating things about you and your study of natural plants within Australia and herbalism in general in Naturopath by trade is that correct?

Ian

That’s right been doing it for a bit of over 35 years now yes.

Paul

Wow, why don’t you tell us a little bit about your, I suppose your love affair with natural fauna and the medicinal qualities they posses.

Ian

I had a good fortune of growing up in an area just outside of north of Sydney where I properly backed on to national park Erick called Terry Hills and growing up there as a boy you know come home from school my mom would let me out of the car top of the drive and I just spend the rest of the afternoon out of the bush come back when it was dark for dinner and also living downstairs or not downstairs but the next property down here I bet go through the dirt road to her place to climb down some cliffs was my grandmother and my family were all been herbalist in Australia my, you know, I’m the 5th generation, my great, great grandmother came out as a herbalist work in the gold fields in Victoria and my grandmother and my great grandmother both herbalist with the first people that look at medicinal properties of Australian plants.  So, growing up next to the door of my grandma was great.  I much more preferred spending time with her than going to school.  So, I was a young boy with my dad who, he was a farmer who’s also worked with herb.  He’d head often my mom would go to work and gobbled up in playing, go to her pleading to go to school even though I was in a bit of agony, which you all know you too seek to spend the day with your grandmother.  So, I’d go down to her and you know, this things I worked out mom had gone totally fine helped my grandmother with making herbal chinches, extracts we go bush walking, she point out the plants what the healing qualities where.  You know my mom had come back first before my dad had picked me up and say “How was Ian?”  my grand mom say “Oh great he got better during the day” either as well.  So, it’s really from her where I got the appreciation, the bush, they’re all these healing plants and so that was the beginning and unfortunately my grandmother whittled with cancer, she’s a heavy smoker, albany, which make camel cigarettes and to them look like wimps and she kept it with a bay with herbs there’s numbers of australian plants plus fire in a lacquer and sorrow when they go with a herb was listening.  Anyway she went travelling to Europe got separate from the luggage cancer took its toll with the stress of travelling she was flown back in a comma unknown to her information was written down so that information unfortunately was lost.  My dad was a herbalist but more with, you know european and north american plants.  So, I don’t remember all the plants specifically, which he said this does that and what have you it’s just left with that overall impression that in the bush they’re all these healing plants.

Paul

So, essentially it was left to you for trial and error to explore this natural Australian selection of plants and to see and explore their medicinal qualities?

Ian

Well it’s always that love affair I had with the bush but then you know like you get in to your teenage hood going to school, made off to university I was doing science degree and travelling to India on the first year I got very sick.  You know, very classic thing very bad dysentery etcetera, lot of emotional uphill going on I was pretty naïve, innocent person not realized what my short coming so I came back physically quite a mess, emotionally not so good.  So, I started trying to rebuild my health with natural therapies like working with the herb and that lead me to things like meditation, yoga and I went through my science degree really very interested in natural therapies and when I finished I realized all the things I was really interested with natural therapy so then did my naturopathy.

Paul

Science must have been a wonderful kind of base course field you’ll explore and then I suppose specializing naturopathy and single the natural benefits involved in natural medicine

Ian

Well look when I went to naturopathy there was you know, we had all people doing naturopathy and I was finishing off a couple of subjects left in the degree and I was tying it in by doing things like anatomy physiology.  So, anatomy in the university is a fantastic course where you got opportunity to work with cadavers.  So when you’re doing anatomy and you’re learning muscles and things like that at naturopathy college it’s very you know, from a textbook.  So, I used doing the tutorials for the university I used to bring half of the class in the naturopathy yin and all lot of first year students mainly say doing physiotherapy they were quite freaked out by dead bodies so they’d be all backing away and all the naturopathic students who were a bit matured “ahh you should get in there”.  So, that was a great opportunity it worked very well to get that more scientific background specially anatomy and histology all those things but then really the core, the healing was with the naturopathal thing.

Paul

I would love to further explore this specialization of australian bushes since it let you, you have really, really, made a name for yourself in and I was like to get quite specific it may not, I’m just going to throw like a couple of examples of I suppose students and clients that I have dealt with a lot in day to day and it seems like people it seems like modern society is kind of riddled with stress information everyday chronic, chronic conditions that can be easily avoidable and I’m wondering whether you have any essences that you could perhaps suggest would be great to balance out this conditions.

Ian

Absolutely there are 69 individual plants I’m working with from all parts of Australia, I just come back from the center is alive with flowers.  The general patent needs a 30 year patent, you get 2 years of good rain, everything grows, big fire burns are all off and you know then you go back 25 years of draught.  We’ve had a lot of rain in the short period like in lake areas been in flood or had water in it it’s like 3 times in the last 5 years quite unheard of.  Anyway, just coming wonder essences I went to make up there is called tall yellow top and it’s a remedy for isolation loneliness and one that big patents happening today is that house in western countries, houses get a bit bigger but there’s less people in them like 3 years ago in the US/UK you had 1 household in 10 was a single occupant in a very short period of time it’s now 40%.  So, there’s a lot of, a lot of people not having as much contact then what’s happening is they’re dying earlier, they’re dying on the same things but they’re dying much earlier they don’t have that confidant to share the good bits of life that challenging bits etc..etc.. And you know, there’s not many people coming into their homes so the tall yellow tops are great remedy for isolation loneliness.  You know I mentioned university, my university the major reasons students left in first year was loneliness.  Thousands of people in campus they don’t know anyone, the fact there’s even so many people make them even more isolated and lonely. That’s why they left it wasn’t academic, issues grow.  So, you know, that’s a huge one going on day to day and just general sadness and grief I mean, you know, you go down to any main town and city lunch time check out people’s eyes how many people.  I’m just feeling the sadness you can see it in their eyes everything speeded up the phase of life is gone incredibly quickly I’m sure just bet even one listening here would think “wow I don’t have as much time to do the things I used to do 10 years ago, 5 years ago.  So, you less your priorities you end up being a bit manic, a bit speedy and stress is the result of that so there’s a remedy called black eyed susan grows around the Oaks green sandstone area and that’s for people who are always busy, on the go, usually poor time managers, so under estimating how long something will take cramming more things in that they can do so there’s this constance, stress and sense of rushing off and come as because I got to be somewhere, and that’s oh and it’s ten to get there or made of 5 minutes to do it and you find that’s a very common essence that’s needed once you get big cities you know Melbourne, Sydney, Perth etc. but you know even outside of Australia any large city you find that constitutional type to do it.  You know you’re thinking either you’re driving down the road and someone’s in a real rush, someone’s going too slow in front of me tooting the horn giving him the finger etc.. So, impatience and annoyance that irritability each comes through from that area.  So, we have gone combination, we have 69 individuals but we also have a number of combinations in health and stores and pharmacies so if someone’s really stressed they can go on and get calm and clear or they just end of a work day you know, it’s being really challenging they come home and they just want to chill out enjoy the people they’re living with then you can right they are to spray themselveswith calm and clear sometimes that the people house spray the person coming back in with that and they start relaxing and unwind.  I mean you talk about travel recently one big guess saying you know when people come back from travelling they are more relaxed.  But you know like that’s calm and clear as a great one but so man people are so stressed trying to get a point of being able to take a holiday, get everything done, pack and organize everything they’re just a mess when they first, you know, first few days.

Paul

And what I’ve actually found with a lot of people that I speak to is it probably takes them 5 days to unwind in their holiday and they start stressing about the incoming work period about 5 days before their holiday ends.  So, really they’re not actually ever on holiday.

Ian

And also if they’re travelling overseas and there’s a time difference let’s say someone’s going over to the states or to europe NASA says for every 2 hours of time difference it take you about a day to recover.  So, we got a combination called travel essence, which works on so many different factors when you’re in a plane, different time zones etc. so you can arrive there with minimal discomfort like I can arrive in brazil or in london on a friday run a 2 day workshop you know there’s no way I could do that without travel essence.  So, there’s a lot of application the things that we could do.

Paul

I would love to really breakdown and get down to the scientific knitty gritty of how these are applied and what the ramifications are biologically in the body like modern society has really, really cultivated this constant gratification model that we all seem to be subscribing to more and more and it makes us almost living this vital flight state on a hour to hour, minute to minutes an hour ago.  You mentioned the particular essence that you can apply that kind of brings you back down to earth.  Do youhave an explanation as to how it affects the body biologically?

Ian

Look if we go back away from modern times back thousands of years ago let’s look at aryuvedic traditional, traditional chinese medicine they had thousands of years observing humans health matters etc. and they’re unanimous in their understanding that our physical symptoms stems from emotional imbalances, you know or spiritual, occasionally it might be environmental things you know, you get caught out of the rain, it’s a freezing cold windy you got to go on a t shirt on you might get a chill from the situation like that but the majority is there a clearly emotional?  Not only that but then they’d be very specific so for example if you got a lot of fear then it has an impact on the kidneys, that if you got a lot of grief it affects the lungs.  So, you know a teacher lost in brazil have for many years, so we’ve been donating essences in orphanages in brazil.  When we started that work on average the children in the orphanages will be getting about 6 cases of bronchitis per child per year causing the government quite a lot of re eyes their currency to treating with antibiotics and it’s really apparent why they’re getting bronchitis because their parents don’t want them, the parents are dead or they’re incapable of looking after them say’s he’s some whole grief sadness abandoned them so we put in that tall yellow top the one I’m talking about for abandonment you put this essence is dealing with mother and father issues different ones for each parent.  So, that was part of the core plus sadness you know just a general grief.  One sturt disappear and I’m going to be flying to broken hills in a couple of weeks time because all the rain in the center sturt disappears about just as what make the whole center red and black beautiful flower.  So, you know after a year of doing that and sometimes it was lucky we’ve had a psychologist or we’d had a florist practitioning going to the orphanages and prescribing individual essence for each child.  Sometimes we didn’t have that luxury of too many kids in the orphanage and we train the corks just to put the essences in to the food and they shoot great cordials.  After a year the incense bronchitis dropped from 6 times per year per child to less than one case of bronchitis per child per year.

Paul

That’s incredible

Ian

Yes and I had one patient crippled with rheumatoid arthritis she couldn’t even sit down the chair and she’s in so much pain and yet her husband left 4 years earlier from another woman and that seem to be the starting point so I gave her, you know this flower of a sturt disappear I’m sure most of you listeners would know that flower, such a stunning plant and she rang me back 5 days later.  Ian all I’ve done is cry for this last 5 days it’s like pours and my, I’m free of pain and the deformity in her hands you know as I was now crippled you know deformed hands in 5 days a change.  You go to rheumatoid, you know rheumatologist and says impossible but once you deal with the emotional trigger the cause it’s amazing how the body can flow on and get changes going on there.  This is being studied in brazil in hospitals there with diabetes, which you talked about inflammation.  Diabetes is inflammation in the body and if you’re a diabetic you’re 4 times more likely to get Alzheimer’s, which is again is another type A slip inflammation and there’s a flower called the peach flower tea tree starts off as pink and changes to white and it’s what the herbals for doctor of signatures so where the shape color location the plant the clue is the healing quality.  Fluctuations same as blood sugar being too high, too low that plant was being used very successfully on pancreas, hypoglycaemia and the study was done on diabetes and showing statistically significant those having a very powerful impact.

Paul

That’s wonderful my father is actually at on set diabetes and my poor dad I tend to use him a couple of times on interview as an example but now he’s an insulin dependent and it sounds something that I’d be really interested in exploring for his treatment

Ian

Yes and look when you ask specific biological pathways it’s maybe a little bit difficult but if there’s a general concept that helps explain how flower essence is because they’re vibrational medicine like seem an umbrella of hymeoptic very different from one another.  So, you were to take a drop an ounce on a liquid form you take the drops sip in drops on the morning and in the evening.  The drops go under tongue in the blood stream from the blood stream they go into digestive system then they go into the nervous system and then from the nervous system it’s like the meridians, which is where the acupuncture is going to stick his needles and we’ve got silica in our body it’s in our hair and nail connective tissue.  Silica is an amplifier it amplifies that vibrational quality from the physical body through channels, portals in the meridians into our subtle bodies, we have 6 subtle bodies; atelic, astral, mental, causal and a couple of causal ones and from there it clears out.  So, if I’m talking to you and you got a lot of jealousy going on hypothetically in your orb it will be a murky green so if you don’t resolve that jealousy eventually that jealousy in the supple bodies, which is in that murky green will come in the physical body and affect liver gall bladder.  So, when you’re taking the essence it’s going out the supple bodies clearing all that emotional debris that you might be holding on to and then it brings it back to the body.  So, for example if I’m obstreating someone for jealousy I’d give the remedy for usually a couple of weeks and then reassess.  If they had that jealousy such on time that’s gone from being in that subtle bodies, which then gone into the physical body and they get involved gall stone colic or gall stones or liver problems you’re going to have to work longer because it’s been around that much longer but the principal action will be the same.

Paul

Now, when you apply these, these bush essences for a particular condition let for example jealousy will that bring the emotion to the surface so that person doesn’t need to actually deal with it on a national level?

Ian

Great question, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t in naturopathy there’s a term called the healing crisis.  Sometimes they might be really experiencing that jealousy, wow they’re really aware of it in there which coming out a little bit more.  It will never get to that point that they just get overcome by this jealousy and you know go and bring a cricket bat and go and attack the person they got jealous with, you know their x girlfriend or boyfriend or whatever it might be they’re really jealous with.  So, it’s not going to push them into an aggravation that’s called but some people might experience have a little bit more like if you’re taking the rainy sturt there’s a pee for sadness quite often a lot of sadness will come out and then people that woman that I mentioned well I’m just crying a lot because I’ve just been all blocked down and it comes out in a way which is what the person is able to deal with and there are other times where it might be working with self esteem with a bit of anxiety.  You don’t necessary have to feel more anxious or feel worst about yourself but before you get the benefits sometimes wait you know I spoke differently on that person they put me down this time I stood up for myself what the hell why don’t things sign to shift around.

Paul

Amazing

Ian

Yes, so look it can go either way but it will never get to that point where things are uncomfortable.  There’s a plant that grows down in the east of Australia called the Old Man Banksia.  Now, interesting that when cork and banks came to Australia in 1770 and took all sorts of fleur and took it back to England to queue gardens, botanic gardens to get it sorted when it got to England they called it old man banksier because the trunk of the tree is very narrow, twisted and you know they hadn’t had contact with the aborigines for them it was a plant for female spirituality and 40% of women except for maybe probably asian women have under active thyroids you know the science is a little bit sluggish tide, skin getting a bit dry, hair brittle and old man banksier is very specific for thyroids specially under active and you know that’s why there’s a spiritual connection for women to their thyroid and which is why so many women have that problem.  You know, (inaudible) they will put women and men if they needed it around the banksier tree to pick up their healing engine and renew such a powerful important ones they really should called it old woman banksier but you know a lot of times I’ve been treating people would say you’re on thyroxin for under active thyroids.  We get them working with the old man banksier, often they can come off with their thyroxin.  Now, for some people they noticed tightness around the throat when they first start taking it.  It might last for a couple of days and then fade away but again it’s just that indicative of the action that’s going on around that particular part of the body as that humans curve.

Paul

This form of trainer really does fascinate me given that it addresses as he said it was at the 6 subtle bodies that it addresses and to me medicine treatment is so much greater and more holistic than the reductions model than with grown to accept in modern society.  I’d love to explore those subtle bodies a little bit more just to see how they’ll fit in with one another

Ian

Yeah, well, you know I think probably mostly listeners are dealing with an emotional body, which is one of them and our emotions, that’s, I mean it’s not really very much if someone’s got low self esteem you know, got to grieve the things again to be able to help them with that they go to health food store, you know got a lot of grief well maybe a vitamin b tablet it’s not too much you go to your doctor myself self esteem is lower well maybe you go see a psychologist or just or something like that or but we all do bad luck.  There’s something very specific that we can treat and improve the quality of our life even before we’re getting those physical symptoms the inners it can be vicious circle the self esteem on I mean what age group you think suffers the most from low self esteem.

Paul

My instinct once actually tell me people later on in their, in their years.

Ian

Oh ok then that, that’s possibly quite true.  I would probably, which might account for why, you know this now or suicide spikes that when retirement, you know, you’ve also got teenagers and you know when its common condition to teenagers is acne and I know my daughter is pretty atrocious as a teenager getting too much ice cream, milk shakes etc..  my skin was really bad and I feel really bad about it, you know, you look in the skin specially as a teenager, skins breaking out at your, you know you feel terrible sometimes I was embarrassed my girlfriend being seen with me and you know so 5 corners is a lovely flower and it’s not overly common nor is self esteem and it’s working on say self esteem.  So confidence, which is (inaudible) thing that we can all do a little bit more of.

Paul

Absolutely

Ian

And we have a combination its called transition it was originally for people who are getting close to dying but it can also be someone going through major change.  One of the essences is working same on the aetheric body because of that 2 weeks before you die the aetheric body starts unravelling from the physical body, now let’s say you might have someone mid twenties caught in a car accident tomorrow their highest self will be aware tha they’re going to die in that time.  So, 2 weeks before the accident which to everyone else is a total shock and unexpected but the aetheric body will be starting to unravel from that physical and in that transition essence, one the flowers there, which I just found growing and made it up just a couple of weeks helps that separation also when you’re going through the light when you pass over you got to see the light a lot of people stay on earth down because they’re not aware that there’s anything to go to they’re a bit, some don’t even know they’re dead whereas in that essence is really helping the person be aware of the light and moving through it same as it’s been a suicide or someone’s jump over a cliff, there’s been a car accident and it’s being killed in it, you can spray when the combination which has that space clearing.  Now, even thought the person is dead the essence that (inaudible) essence we all work on that aetheric level again helping that person to move through the light.

Paul

Really cool

Ian

And if you go to a psychic usually they pick up things move in the subtle bodies, you know picking up a lot of sadness or whatever it might be but then you got the outer bodies are called the causal bodies and like they’re unreachable that’s where we hold in some really old stuff for example really could have been inform from past lives and the beauty of flower essences is they can go right out to that outer causal bodies, which homeopathy really even does and there’s certainly nothing in materialistic medicine like an antibiotic or azinc tablet that’s going to work at that level.  So, there was a one patient of mine and she was living with a partner and the partner had a 7 year old son from the previous relationship she was really great at being nurturing him but she didn’t want to take responsibility for him making major decision and I saw her at a party once someone passed her a baby and she just went white started sweating, you know like by a minute later very happy to pass he baby over and from our sessions she didn’t want to take chemicals in the body, she didn’t want to take the pill so she was just using basically astrology working out when she’s ovulating trying to avoid conception and she just being terrified that she might be pregnant and you know so after that I did some age aggression when did this all stem from and you know I think he can accept past lives so she can see some genetic memory being passed down whatever’s more comfortable for you but she had this genes of herself, you know middle east a couple of thousand years ago roman soldiers where fighting her people.  All the men where away from the village fighting and this day roman soldiers came in she knew she’d be recognized as being as the wife of a leader of these men, she had 6 young children.  There’s no escape she knew the romans will torture her and kill the children pretty brutally so as parent she said her only choice on that on was to kill her own children, we’re talking thousands of years ago there’s no gun, there’s no cyanide and look I think if everyone misting could just imagine just how horrible trying to do something like that.  How many lifetimes she’s had since thank goodness knows but it’s still even all these thousands of years later there’s still something locked in her subtle bodies that terrifies about for that risk having responsibility of a child.  The essences that we gave work at such a deep level we were able to clear that.

Paul

That’s pretty powerful stuff and you know that kind of trauma I suppose would travel through many lives.

Ian

Yes absolutely like I, I see this coming through on physical things like I might have a child with asthma we do some work with it and specially age aggression something I like doing in, you know they got clear memories our mind collapsed them as a minor sometimes you know like mining team or something like that in whales.  I had one patient she saw herself going into the concentration camp going into to have the shower with all the other women and children all naked and gas coming through and see everyone going blue and this lifetime she can’t breath she have problems of asthma, so, you know their essences we’ve got to clear old traumas, which they’re holding on to in the subtle bodies coming through affecting the physical.

Paul

So it’s kind of a chicken and the egg scenario, how does one really understand what is required from a bushes perspective to treat these conditions would you consider do or would you recommend them having a consultation with somebody like yourself so you can further kind of clarify what the symptoms are for them to be able to apply these things?

Ian

Look, you know I really believe that you’re drawn to the people who are going to help you and as a practitioner you’re going to attract to your people who you can help.  If you can’t be benefit to them they’re going to find someone else so everyone might have different skills someone might not do age aggression but the person with the breathing problems will go there and in there we’re talking of all the different things that they do I’m sure they’ll get there and then they can work with the essences to help them also got a number of books in the index as my book there’s an emotional repertory so let’s say your patient went to someone or someone’s got eating problems could be anorexic or bulimia there’s a list of all the essences which are going to be helpful for that condition and a couple of sentence explaining why.  So, there’s an emotional and a physical repertory.  You know like it’s a, I think the reason doctors don’t tend to work with flower essence is, is that the most effective way of prescribing is sitting down having a talk with someone, finding out hey what’s happening in your relationship, what’s happening in the home environment, what’s happening at work and as she talk it becomes really clear what’s the thing that’s really upsetting and throwing out the person out of bounce and then you address the cause and the symptoms go.  The people know like when I have a patient I say, you know what would like to work on today and then me I might say a physical or emotional thing we’re going we would start talking about it and it becomes pretty apparent people got the sense of really why am I got this heart problem, why am I got this you know, sore foot or whatever it might be and truly (inaudible) addressing the cause and there’s you know the essences are a great at treating symptoms to ease that so there’s lots of different ways so we can the relief but also work at better much deeper treatment.

Paul

Ian I want to switch gears for a moment.  I want to actually talk about another field of focus for you as a practitioner, which is numerologyHow did numerology come in your life and tell us a little bit about the exploration of the subject and how it’s affected you and others around you.

Ian

Sure I was about to start my naturopathy I also started studying numerology, a man called David Phillips and over the years I studied many systems and I keep coming back to this one because this is a very basic simple one, very easy to do and of all the patients I’ve ever treated in this last 35 years or so every patient I’ve always done their numerology chart and for me, you know I’m a bit of that black eyed susan doing lots of things.  I like it because it’s quick and simple, someone give me birth date in 15 seconds I can draw her up the chart of their numerology straight away I can see their strengths their weaknesses and you know that’s what I teach, I don’t, I’m not in full time practice anymore because I’ve spend so much time overseas teaching and making the essences so what I’ve done in my workshops I’m incorporated the things which were the most effective in my clinic and numerology is one of the.

Paul

You know my next question is going to be Ian right?

Ian

What’s your birthday?

Paul

Exactly right

Ian

Let me get you the picture it will just come in and do something very specific with you.  So, not only do you see the strengths and the challenges but also it hides in so beautifully with the essences for example if someone’s got a single one in their chart especially for males often more difficult for them to talk about their feelings.  You know they know what they’re feeling but to verbalize and to articulate, so especially on relationship they think all my partner knows because some partner doesn’t really know until it’s discussed flannel flowers is great one to helping with that.  If someone’s got you know a lot of tools in each cart they’re bit like a psychic sponge they pick up energies from other people easily there’s a fringe part to close them off, you know so and there g cycles but anyway let’s, Pauly what’s your day of birth?

Paul

So my birthday the 11th of the 9th 1981.

Ian

Okay, so

Paul

I’m on September 11th for those of you

Ian

Okay and I’m just, okay so we’re 2, 11, 21, 29, 30.  Okay so basically what couple of things I do I put the numbers on a grid and a bit of like a knots and crosses grid and the thing that stands and there’s an emotional, and physical and a mental plan, probably that the thing that jumps out to me would be you got 4 ones, people with 4 ones often need a little bit of an extra time to themselves.  Sometimes when you check and they feel like, you know, people don’t often understand this specially probably when they’re younger in their life and you know they didn’t really get me so, and that sense of me will be the extra space to themselves.  There’s also year cycles, you’re in a 2 which is a fantastic time it’s a 9 year cycle for meditation it’s more of a quiet in it it’s not a great out there social but developing intuition doing any of the spiritual practices.  So, if I saw someone in that year I’d be really encouraging going in and making the best of that available energy because it’s higher this year right up to only end of December and compared to any of the other 8 years and that 9 year cycle.  Now, the work that you’re doing, you know if you had all the numbers up in the birth date you get the 30 for you and that’s comes down to a 3 and that’s what you call a ruling number that’s one of the main focuses.  So, 3’s people like hanging out with 3’s they’re pretty bright, they’re social you know they got very active mind inquisitive, curious about life, you know, they’re good friend can be a bit harsh on they’re overly critical on their partners, which is we can get essences on that for you when you get married for your (inaudible)

Paul

I love it

Ian

Next year you’re in a year for 3 so that’s, and being a ruling 3 you’re going to find that, you know, like you if got wanted to study, you’d pick things up really quickly that’s when it the year where people can do double degrees so that they can be working full time and doing an evening course and you know the mind is just working fantastically.  It’s a lot of mental stimulus so you might find that if you want to do short trips away especially to a different culture, different area like you’ll be stimulated by that and this years probably a bit more of a quiet one but next year you’re probably a bit more inclined to socialize, see if you’re going off to restaurants say with your girlfriend you might think “hey I’m going to via couple other people to come with me or I’m going to the movies and, hey I’m going to bring a couple of friends around like this and all that social things happening in a 3 and my daughters got one of the patents in your chart as well there’s no numbers in the very center of this grid there’s missing 4,5 and 6 and we call that the arrow of frustration and you know if I chatted to your parents I’d probably say to them you know when Pauly was young did he ever say it’s not fair, why me?  And that’s a very common trait when you see those 3 missing numbers.

Paul

Brilliant

Ian

And my daughters got that and you know she’s 30 now but when she was little “it’s not fair” and I try not to crack up laughing and she get really “what’s angry with me” you know, and I just keep in giving this randy called southern cross.  People without it they do have more things happen to them in life than other people but it’s, they always got that choice of how are we going to respond and as a parent or a practitioner if you see a young person with that one you rally want to tell them when something’s happened look for the silver lining, so you might be a little girl coming and the parents moving to a different part of the state and she’s saying it’s not fair, why me I’m the only one leaving all my friends and it’s terrible and like things she goes in your area and there’s a bit more property and maybe she’s able to get a little pony or something and then that’s become the love of her life now she’s got a new best friend they do right pony’s together and that’s when you would get the parents say “hey you know when you said I wasn’t fair, it’s terrible, I was the worst thing in the world having to move, what about now youwould never have that pony back then stressing that there’s always a benefit and helping look for that silver lining and that dark owl and that’s and also giving him the randy southern cross because if they grow up with that they become a bit bitter and twisted and then they start blaming other people have you seen their turn bulls fault towards my mother’s fault and my fathers fault and my, you know blaming everyone they’re becoming more negative and possibly coming they cross of the street because and I will track out of negative people so you really want to address that pretty quickly and the two 9’s in your chart the last thing I say is very idealistic in a sense of paying us justice will be strong.

Paul

They’re really interesting stuffso if I take it you’re actually covering this at your workshop when you’re coming to Melbourne and that’s in a couple of weeks now isn’t it?

Ian

Yeah that will be the 5th and 6th of November

Paul

Fantastic

Ian

And will basically 2 days so when you leave you’ll be outlook at the persons chart see the challenges and strength and know what essences what we’re talking about, more what essence is going to help that one as well free of all they’re too sensitive and overly idealistic someone could be impractical as well so the essences help them be a bit more pragmatic in their life as well

Paul

So there’s a blue print that you’re essentially going to offer the people that will attend this workshop and that will be reading peoples number chart and then, then being able to prescribe essence to them too.

Ian

And also we’re all going to be looking at putting up a someone close to them it could be a parent child putting the birth date of the 2 up together could be a partner, relationship partners, business partners and they we’re looking okay.  What are the challenges that we see in this relationship and what are the you know like ok where is the common ground seeing where we can resolve these issues and what essences would be really useful for that we’re looking at the ruling numbers what that means, the year cycles individual numbers in your birth date all those things

Paul

Really cool stuff I can’t wait to get a long and check that out, Ian this is just been such a fascinating, fascinating chat.  I just want to leave you with one last question if you don’t mind and that’s what do you think people given all the knowledge that you have, what do you think some things that people could do today to address just being more balance as a human being?

Ian

Look probably that the easiest thing to do would be to meditate for 20 minutes a day

Paul

Simple

Ian

And what it does is it’s equivalent to an hour and a half a sleep and that’s the area where a lot of people they’re eating the right food, exercise and doing good things and they’re just missing out in sleep because everything is hectic and chaotic, so that’s a good one for that.  Also for me it’s a way to get your inner guidance coming through so rather than banging hit against a brick wall you get this gut feeling, “yeah go around and to do it this, feel it differently” but also we’ve all got unique talents and skills so that inner guidance coming through leaning us to it’s going to be lease resistance and most satisfaction in doing what we this amazing gifts that we’ve all got

Paul

Beautiful

Ian

That will be I think jut a simple thing give yourself 20 minutes a day to just to meditate

Paul

Love it Ian.  I want to thank you once again so much for coming on the show and taking time I know you’re busy fellow so guys if I were you I would definitely jump on the link I’m going to put in the show notes and definitely, definitely come down to Melbourne.  Are you doing any other appearances in the near future Ian?

Ian

Yes an expo in Adelaide the end of November I’d be doing that one and go to our website I’m sure you’ll put the details up there there’s lots of forces all around the world that they can get a flight to an exotic destination and do something, there’s reported workshops, books, lots of information, videos they can watch, what the flowers look like and being out in the bush and see them grow.

Paul

Cool!  Thank You so much Ian.

Ian

It’s been a pleasure Pauly, it’s good to chat to you

Paul

Take it easy

Ian

Thanks!

Paul

Lovely guy with a abundance of knowledge to be able to share it’s going to be a really, really practical workshop and cause.  So I once again recommend you guys get down there if you have any interest in medicinal herbs and being able to couple them with your numerology chart.  On a personal level I have been tackling my 1 month challenge and it’s been the 9 minutes of various different planks, isometric holds and it’s been a really cool experience, you know I really needed a little bit of a kick in the bum when it came to getting my body moving again and getting my core nice and strong.  This was a wonderful way to just give that a little bit of a charge up so I’ll be posting photos and videos on my progress.  I hope you guys jump on board and to the very same thing.  Thanks Guys!  Have a great week and I shall see you next week.  Thanks!
